Oh I do love to be beside the seaside…

Hello lovelies! Are you all loving this warm Sydney sunshine? (If you’re not in Sydney, we hope there’s sunshine where you are too).

Belmore Basin in Wollongong - This morning's lovely seaside spot

This morning we enjoyed a sensational couple of hours at the beach with Mum, Sister and a couple of little lovelies.

OK, so we weren’t actually in the water (we’re not that mad), in fact we weren’t even anywhere near the sand either. We found a great sunny spot overlooking the water where we could admire the view, have a chat and indulge in some people-watching. Aaah, pure bliss.

Our trip to the beach got us thinking about embracing nautical chic this spring! It’s very ‘French Riviera’ darling. Over the last few days, some of our favourite stores have emailed us with more news on their new spring collections. We spotted some fresh takes on nautical classics, which we just love and wanted to share with you.

Country Road features gorgeous stripey tanks in red, navy and jade green, as well as coastal inspired belts and bags. We need to go in store pronto and try on these pieces before they sell out.

At Sussan, we love the mix of denim with a striped tee and a citrus cardie.

We’ll definitely be stopping in at Witchery for our new season shoes. We’re loving these two very different red pairs – flats or wedges? You choose. We love the look of the wedges, but think some practice will be required before venturing too far from the house.

We can’t wait to bring you more spring fashion news soon. We’re thinking of making this a regular weekly post – what do you think?

Have a lovely day. x.

  1. Love the shade of red shoes, Mrs Lovely. Ancient wisdom: People should only wear soft reds lest they look like Mrs Santa Clause( as wot I do). And, some look adorable in shorts, but some should only wear shorts when on the beach or washing cars.
