Well it’s nice to see that the cold and rain has made a reappearance here in Sydney – just in time for the weekend too. Boooo. And here we were thinking that spring had sprung.
Anyway, earlier this week the lovely co. picked up a great bargain on an outdoor setting for what was our very empty deck. It’s a nice warm timber table coffee table and frame with a blue-grey stripe cushion. It’s great that it’s neutral enough to blend in with its surrounds, but bright enough to still give us a little pop of colour. It’s so exciting to be making this house a home we love.
We’re so looking forward to when the weather warms up again so we can sit out there on a Sunday morning with the papers and a pot of tea. Sounds very relaxing, doesn’t it? Must buy citronella candles though…the dreaded mozzies are already out and about and they love us. Mr Lovely thinks we are paranoid about this, but it’s true.
We digress. Purchasing the outdoor setting got us thinking about some gorgeous backyards and decks we have seen in magazines and on reality TV of late. Some people are just so clever at creating a real outdoor oasis. Whether it’s tropical, English cottage or Australian native…it doesn’t matter. It’s about what works for you in your space. They’re all spectacular in their own way.
We found these pictures and thought you might be interested as well. Let us know what you like. Better yet, post a photo of your backyard oasis to our Facebook page. We’d love to see what you have come up with.
Have a lovely day. X.
