A spot of tea.

Have any of our Sydney lovelies been to High Tea at the Queen Victoria Building in the city? What a sensational way to spend an afternoon. We took our lovely mum there yesterday for her birthday. It was such a gorgeous, decadent room and was full of lots of other women doing just the same as us – having a natter over tea and tasty treats. A perfect Sunday afternoon!

Oooh...look at our cake stand at the QVB!

We ordered the ‘Sparkling Afternoon Tea’ and so sipped on a yummy glass of Australian Sparkling Wine while we munched through the savoury goodies on the three-tiered stand. We were saving all the delectable sweet morsels to have with our tea. It was worth the wait…as you can see from our picture. Scones, tarlets, macarons and more. Oh my! Despite our best efforts we weren’t able to make our way through everything on the stand so Mr Lovely was the lucky recipient of the leftovers.

We remember another very special high tea we had in London a few years ago at The Charlotte Street Hotel. London is very well known for it’s tea ritual and most people tend to go to The Ritz, but if you’re ever in London we certainly recommend The Charlotte Street Hotel. It’s located near the pretty Soho Square and there are lots of other lovely shops and cafes nearby which make for great browsing…or shopping if you’re lucky!

Have a lovely day. x.
